What should be improved in onboarding at Kuhn Edelstahl?
We wanted to digitize onboarding and thus do away with all Excel checklists. The aim was to improve communication and collaboration with the specialist departments on the one hand and, on the other, to prevent tasks from being left unfinished – thanks to a transparent overview including deadlines.
We also wanted to improve things for our onboardees in particular: they should receive regulated, standardized and digital information – not just before they join the company, but also throughout the entire onboarding process.
How has d.vinci Onboarding helped with this?
Many things in d.vinci Onboarding really help us:
- For example, the task packages make it easier for us to keep track of the tasks that need to be done. This is particularly helpful in the case of substitutions, as it is then clear who is responsible for which tasks and what still needs to be done
- The associated deadlines and reminders ensure that everything is in place for the start of our onboarding process
- Communication and task tracking with the onboardees’ specialist departments is now much easier. But the involvement of other parties (e.g. purchasing, fleet management, …) also works much better
We also had the “social and cultural integration” workshop with Nora and Janine and were able to take a few things away from this that will help us in the onboarding process and support us in the long term:
- New ideas for the welcome folder
- Establishment of a buddy program
- Introduction of the youth and trainee representatives, the works council, the HR department and the new team
What conclusions does Kuhn Edelstahl draw from the project?
On the one hand, d.vinci onboarding definitely makes our work easier, but above all it is a valuable part of integrating the onboardees into the corporate culture!
We receive a lot of positive feedback: from the new employees, but also from the departments that are involved in the recruitment process. We are completely satisfied!
