“We want to make it easy for our applicants and maintain quality at the same time”
With the help of Talk’n’Job and d.vinci, HELLWEG offers its applicants another simple application option in the form of a voice-based application.
The new type of application is consistently geared towards the user behavior of the target group. The focus is on a barrier-free application process for candidates and a smooth process in the applicant management system. Jennifer Kretzmer from HELLWEG talks about this in this case study.
What was the aim of introducing the voice-based application?
As an HR department, our goal is to fill positions in our DIY stores as quickly as possible. For this reason, in times of demographic change and a shortage of skilled workers, we are always looking for new, faster options to make it as easy as possible for our applicants to apply to us. And what could be more obvious in this context than offering a voice-based application?
The process is very simple: the applicant answers a few questions and the result is then forwarded to us. All you need is a cell phone!
We would like to offer this option not only online but also offline in our stores. Applicants can simply scan a QR code. They are then forwarded to the voice-based application. The challenge was that until now, there was no way to enter the data into d.vinci in a structured way with a simple and appealing application process, without the applicant having to carry out additional application steps.
To make this possible, Talk’n’Job has developed a so-called location selector together with d.vinci. The QR code, or the URL link behind it, can work with information from d.vinci and applicants are then shown the jobs advertised at the relevant locations in the contact form for selection, for which they can currently apply. The special feature of this solution is that the applications are then entered directly into the system for the specific position.
This solution works offline (e.g. on posters or flyers) via the QR code and the link can also be displayed online. For example, social media campaigns can also be optimized, as a single ad can be placed for all available positions.
What were the challenges?
All important points and advantages of the voice-based application had to be taken into account:
- Simple application option without documents (Quick Apply)
- Quick Apply by answering 4 questions
- Rapid (quick) contact with the applicant
We are very happy about this joint success story!
